Oui Presse • 1740 SE Hawthorne Blvd. • Portland, OR 97214

I can’t wait to see the progress – love the photos showing the before/now!
Welcome to Hawthorne! The windows look great. I saw them as I was driving by and it caught my attention.
I’m a volunteer on the board for the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association. I maintain our website, http://www.thinkhawthorne.com, and keep business listings up-t0-date. I have added your name and address, and a placement on the clickable map. Please send your phone number when you have it, and I will add that. This is a free basic listing. (We provide fancy upgraded listings as a perk for members.) Let’s get you added to our email list and then you can get info about upcoming events, like the Hawthorne Holiday Stroll on Thursday Dec 9, the street fair in August, and other topics pertinent to business owners.
Cheers,

The floors look gorgeous. Can’t wait to see the finished store!
Neither can I.
Store looks beautiful! Can’t wait to visit it. Saw your bunny slippers in the WW gift guide. I LOVE THEM! Wish I could buy them…any chance of sharing your pattern, purely for personal use? =) Best wishes for your store!!
I suggest you put your address front and center on the front back. Not many people will take the time to wander around your site looking for the address….
Just saying.
How exciting! I love to indulge in reading magazines and drinking coffee. You totally made my dream come true!!
Also, I’m honored that you’re carrying our servers in your adorable shop!! I can’t wait to see everything in person!
You are right by our house! I can’t wait to visit and try out your coffee.
Come on over!
Oui, oui, oui! That’s about the extent of my French, but I know a cool place when I see one. Many congratulations. I can’t wait to come hang out. Xoxox.
Oui Presse can’t wait for you—and all your lovely friends—to come hang out.
Curious about a direct email line for the owner(s)/proprietor(s) of the shop? Would love to discuss any wholesale opportunities from a small batch artisan bakery.
Merci!
Great article in the Oregonian this AM (2/7/11). Let me know if you want help with tax filings. I have experience with coffee shops and would like to help you. No charge except for a few cups of coffee. I’ll try to stop by and sample your coffee in the next couple of days. Good luck!
Just read the article about this coffee shop in the Oregonian today. Can not WAIT to make it over there. The place sounds great, and the owner is hot!
Great job and good luck!
The owner isn’t all that hot, actually.
Read the story in The Oregonian this morning and wish you all the luck in the world! I will definately stop by!
I loved the article about you this morning in the Oregonian. Your experience reminds me of a Korean Drama that I watched called Coffee Prince. Its on a blog site called Kimchidrama. Its a romance story but it is centered around a coffee shop startup and they have a lot of creative ideas to get new customers. You might become inspired by watching it. Best of luck
read your story today in the Oregonian. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor and promise to make my way over to the eastside to spend money to help you survive. As a former food vendor and restaurant owner I know you have a 3 – 5 year mountain to climb to sustain your business. It’s a fickle business.
Shawna, now this is more like it (you)! I’ll be driving down from Bainbridge soon to sample your freezer-burn cookie dough!
Chad
I will pop a fresh batch of cookies in the oven just for you.
Shawna! Karen Schober sent a link to the Oregonian story. I am rooting for you and Oui Presse. I can’t imagine that you won’t succeed beautifully… Take care.
Hi Kate! Nice to hear from you! Stop by if you’re ever in Portland! I hope you’re well!
welcome to hawthorne!
your shop looks adorable and i can’t wait to come for a visit.
we live just up on elliott ave and have been hoping for a nice coffee shop
to make a second home
don’t know if you guys have gone around the neighborhood leaving little cards
on doorsteps, but that would be a great way to introduce yourselves.
lower hawthorne is ripe and ready for you guys and will welcome it
as long as they know you’re there!
Congratulations on great “presse” in today’s Oregonian. It would be really great if your pastries and bakery items were available right when you open, so the commuter crowd could grab a coffee AND a croissant to go. Bet it would help your bottom line, too! Wishing you every success.
We have toast and coffee cake when we open our doors every morning. Pastries and fresh baguettes arrive at 8:45 or so, which is as early as we can get them out of our supplier’s oven.
I’m in East County, but next time I am in the area I am going to make a point to stop by. Ignore all the hateful comments on the O, I think it is great that faced with uncertain job prospects, you started your own business…that’s the American way. Wishing you lots of success from out here.
Read the article in the Oregonian. You are in the neighborhood- looking forward to trying out a new place!
Finally made it to your store today…all the way from Salem. Had to go to REI and exchange some things but decided to go over to the East side and visit before I went home. Had a mocha and a cookie…yum!
All the best to Oui-Presse. I will stop by asap. Hope you are well. Kiss
