Some of you magazine aficionados (I was going to say whores, but that seemed harsh) will probably remember Domino Magazine—the home design counterpart to Lucky Magazine, but far cooler and classier. It folded a few years ago when the decline in print advertising caused the publishing industry to wuss out and make some really bad decisions—including but not limited to ceasing publication of Gourmet, House and Garden, Blueprint, Metropolitan Home, Wonder Time and so on. But Domino is now back for the attack, y’all, with this special “Quick Fixes” edition, and an encouraging “Spring | Summer 2012″ line in the upper right hand corner of the cover, implying there will be future issues. The magazine reads like a Domino’s greatest hits, but there are some really good (and cheap) ideas that will inspire you to do things like blinging up a boring wood bedframe by spray-painting it silver, or challenging yourself to arrange artwork on your walls based on preexisting nail holes. Domino Quick Fixes Special Edition is available at Oui Presse for $10.99.
